Archery Club of Singapore has embarked on a Junior and Youth training program since 2007 catering to train young archers on a route to become elite archers.
Junior: Age < 18 Years Old
Youth: Age > 18 Years Old
Junior archers of age 18 years and below who have completed the ACS Basic & Intermediate Archery Courses will be invited to join the Junior Team.
Training Program
- Refine and develop the trainees’ archery skill and equipment knowledge, through training and workshops.
- Progressive training for individual and team event.
- Participation in competitions.
Benefits
- Enhance both mental and physical development.
- Excel skill to participate in competitions on club/national levels, in both individual and team events.
- Trainee who meets the score criteria set by the Archery Association of Singapore will be recommended to join the National Training Squad to represent Singapore in local/overseas competitions.
Member Requirements
- Minimum of 4 training sessions on weekends per month / 1 training session per weekend.
- Trainee must inform the assigned coach, with valid reason, for unavailability for training. Failure to do so will be subjected to demerit points.
- Trainee must keep record of the shooting score, during training sessions and competitions.
- Trainee is required to purchase own equipment when advised by the assigned coach.
- Any changes to the equipment must be consented by the assigned coach.
- Registration to any competitions must be approved by the assigned coach.
- Trainee mustĀ attend in-house Quarterly Trials at least 3 times yearly.
Terms and Conditions
- Must complete both basic and intermediate courses conducted by our Club, for age of 18 and below.
- Must complete basic course, conducted by our Club, for age of 19 to age of 24.
- Yearly fee of $240 and is non-refundable, and the fee may be amended with prior notice of 2 months before the due date.
- Membership renewal will be reviewed yearly by assigned coach and Management Committee, based on training attendance, discipline, conduct and skill development progress and demerit point.
- Parents/Guardians are refrained from guiding the trainees during the training sessions/competitions.
